What is SafeSpace?

SafeSpace is a safe social learning platform designed for young explorers aged 8-17. We combine interactive courses, a kid-friendly social network, customizable 3D avatars, and a gamified points system to create an engaging and educational online environment.

Safety Features

Content Moderation

All posts and messages are filtered for inappropriate content. Our moderation system flags and removes harmful material automatically.

Friends-Only Messaging

Direct messages can be restricted to friends only, preventing strangers from contacting your child.

Blocking & Reporting

Users can block others and report inappropriate content. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

No Personal Info Required

Children use usernames, not real names, in public interactions. We collect minimal personal information.

Parental Controls

As a parent, you can create a Parent account to oversee your child's activity:

  • Account Approval: For children under 13, you must approve their account via an email consent link before they can use the platform.
  • Parent Dashboard: View your child's activity, courses, and social interactions from your parent account.
  • Account Management: You can deactivate or delete your child's account at any time by contacting us.

COPPA Compliance

SafeSpace is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We require verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from children under 13. You can read our full COPPA Compliance page for details.

Getting Started

Create a Parent Account

Register as a Parent to manage and monitor your child's experience.

Help Your Child Register

Your child registers as a Student. If they are under 13, you will receive a consent email to approve their account.

Browse courses, customize their avatar, and explore the community. Use your Parent Dashboard to stay informed.
